KFC made a bucket-shaped gaming PC that warms chicken | Gearlogy

It’s not just for show, either. According to Cooler Master, the KFConsole can handle VR gaming, a 240-fps frame rate, and output to a 4K display.

Alongside the warming chicken chamber is a custom cooling system that keeps other parts of the console from overheating during frantic gaming/chicken-eating sessions.

Other specs include an Intel Nuc 9 Extreme Compute Element and two Seagate BarraCuda 1TB SSD drives, according to the Cooler Master website. The KFConsole also has ‘a first-of-its-kind hot swappable GPU slot’ for easy upgrades.

To be clear, this is mostly a Cooler Master PC with the KFC name slapped on the side. It does appear to be an original design, though, as there’s no other similar Cooler Master NUC case currently available on the company’s website.

It features a black and red finish, but it seems like a wasted opportunity that it isn’t more tapered at the bottom like a real KFC bucket.

All those specs aside, the key distinguishing feature is a chicken warmer that strongly resembles a grease tray.

While most gaming PCs could technically warm chicken, this special chamber can heat up what looks like two small wings using “natural heat and airflow,” according to Cooler Master.

KFC spokesperson Mark Cheevers said the chicken chain was proud to unveil its flagship entry in the ‘vicious’ console market.

‘This machine is capable of running games at top-level specs, all on top of keeping your meal warm for you to enjoy during your gaming experience. What’s not to like?’ Cheevers added.

The KFConsole was first teased on Twitter in June, just a day after the PlayStation 5 was unveiled, but many fans assumed it was just an epic troll.

However, there’s the thorny question of whether you’d want more heat for the chicken or less so that your PC, you know, runs better. There’s also no word on whether it ducts out the fried chicken fumes, as those could really gunk up a PC.
